This Pink Saturday will find me and about 70 other paper artists in Waxahachie. Texas for the third annual Paper Cowgirl Altered Art Retreat…I pulled out my Pink Doll Suitcase and started loading…Last week I introduced you to Frida Kahgirl, my set of paper dolls for a big beginning day swap, and before that I showed my Scrap Fabric Flowers inspired by Rebecca Sowers. That swap is also set for beginning evening…Wine and Roses!!!
I finished putting together my class kits…Recycled materials from start to finish…
The bags are recycled plastic mesh sunflower seed bags sewed with handles and a gusseted bottom. Inside will be books for altering along with sheets of vintage music and pages from an old dictionary. The supplies and a second bonus book are also included. The second book uses sheets of tissue paper…Look at all that Pink!!!
Don’t you know those books will be cute and colorful? Everything is packed in paper lunch bags
along with a sweet treat…white chocolate pretzels with M&M’s and peanuts…my boys used to call it “White Trash” and the name just stuck…I’m sure we’ll work up an appetite creating our books…
Wish you could join us…maybe next year? We’re going to have a ball! And we’re going to be learning lots on new techniques…Say “Howdy” to Beverly at How Sweet The Sound and check out Paper Cowgirl when you get a chance…Happy Trails until next week…

Waitin' for my ride, Kah-girl! Love those class kits and especially that Texas Trash! xoxo
This sounds like fun! And I have never hear of the Paper Cowgirl so I am definitely checking it out. Have a blast! Happy Pink Saturday!
Oh, fun! Happy Pink Saturday!
Happy Pink Saturday Laverne Sweetie...
I am so crying about not being able to join you. I know it is going to be a blast. I would so love a ride Kah-girl. Can you do this virtual? Have you thought about holding a class on line? Especially for us Kah-girls that can't ride all the way to Texas. I would be so saddle sore by the time I got there from Phoenix, I would have to leave my horse until next year and fly home for sure.
Oh what fun sweetie. I will be waiting for pics from you to share of this wonderful experience.
Have a wonderful weekend.
Country hugs and much love, Sherry
Hope you do show us some of the paper dolls from the swap! hope you are having a great time.

Well I just finished my Altered Pocket Book and post. Just thought you would like to see the finished product you inspired me to make. I had so much fun with this.
Thanks a bunch ;-)
What adorable class kits you've assembled. I bet the Paper Cowgirl retreat was a blast. I sooo wish I could have come!
Your sweet package arrived and I ADORE my ribbon rose corsage. It will be just perfect on a vest, jacket, pillow or tote! Sooo many uses! I'll be bloggy bragging about it as soon as I get caught up with a few things around here. WHo knew lazy summertime would be sooo busy?!?
Big TX Hugs,
