This morning as I was shopping for weekend supplies (a nice bottle of Chardonnay for week end guests), I was attracted by a new line of reusable shopping bags…Pink roses with the Pink ribbon that reminds us of our on-going battle to beat breast cancer…Of course, I bought one to serve as a reminder of how lucky I am to be living in a time when breast cancer is not an automatic death sentence as it once was and how lucky I am that all of my mammograms have been clean.
So I can reduce the use of plastic bags and support the fight against breast cancer! That makes for a perfect Pink Saturday in my book.
Several weeks ago, I shared a rather limp pink crocheted apron. I promised to take pictures after it had been treated to a little starch and a good ironing…well, here it is…
It made an appearance at a shower last weekend. All the guests were invited to wear a vintage apron…
I’m partial to the gingham with cross stitching ones…
The bride to be is sharing a toast with old fashioned Coke bottles and real paper straws!(one of Nancy’s E-Bay finds)…The bride to be had her camera in her pocket and it makes her look “PG”…remember when we wouldn’t even say the “P” word…we were in the “family way”, but I digress…we had such fun in our aprons and it was a very “Pink” sort of day.
I hope your day and your week is Pink from start to finish. Thanks for stopping by.

What a party and so much pink around.
Great support!! Love the apron theme~I had that theme for a girls party a few years back and it was such fun! Hope you have a wonderful pink weekend!!
What a great idea!! I love the aprons and am trying to think of other types of parties we could wear aprons for! Thanks for the fun!

I have to say I am fascinated with this apron thing. Is this a new trend in the US? I had a heck of a job getting aprons (to wear when painting, gluing etc etc) as there seems to be nothing around - I ended up buying those heavy duty chef's aprons. Not pretty, but definitely protective. Over here, there is nothing like the ones you've shown!
Happy Pink Saturday from the UK!
Oh!Happy Day! Pink Day; that is..and late as usual ....I will spend most of the rest of this week-end skipping all over blog land...God Bless You All..and I mean really bless you!

What a great party idea! Love the crocheted Apron.
What a fun shower idea...you're vintage apron certainly turned out great!!!
Yes, the P word rarely crossed our little lips in the Old Days....I still like "family way"....it has such a more refined sound than "knocked up"!! :) Oh well....
I love the pink totes the stores feature, too. I have one I bought a couple of years ago..but it's so pretty, I hate to put my groceries in it cuz I'll ruin it. However, I really like the ones you have cuz they seem to have a plastic coating!
Hope you had a great PS!! L, Dana

What gorgeous aprons. I'm a big "pinny" afficionado and your collection is quite enviable. Looks like you all had a great time.
