Here in Central Texas it’s celebration time…of course, we’re so proud to be part Pink Saturday and we’re so grateful that Miz Beverly devised her weekly party to celebrate all things PINK .
My contribution this week is Pink in attitude and in sweetness rather than actual Pink… it’s a precious fawn who hangs around our lawn…The Fawn in the Lawn we call her…usually she hunkers down in a flower bed, but on this sunny morning, she was out in the open side yard beside the driveway…no cover, no brush, no bushes…
She thinks if she nestles down into the grass that nobody can see her…I guess the principles of protective coloring have not been fully explained to her…when she is in the thicket, she just about disappears…
See what I mean? But then she heads out into the meadow and just plops down right out in the open…she certainly is a city deer…they don’t have the fear factor of fawns who are surrounded by predators.
Isn’t she darling? We have several fawns that we have seen. We have no idea how many new babies we have out in the brush this spring…when they are still, even in light cover, they disappear... she has a little cousin fawn who is younger and even smaller…but I’ve never had camera at hand when she has been out in the open. I’ll try to chronicle their growth this year even if I have to hang my camera around my neck like some perpetual tourist. But now, I’m off to join the party that’s gathered around Miz Beverly over at How Sweet The Sound

Happy Pink Saturday LaVerne Sweetie...
Oh what a beautiful share. I love your little Lawn Fawn. She is absolutely adorable. How wonderful that she can come there and be safe. She has definitely made herself at home there.
I remember when Marydon found her little Babe out in her flower garden. She was so delighted.
Thank you so much for sharing this evening. I so enjoyed my stroll with you. Many hugs and much love, Sherry
This is perfect.. I adore it!
Enjoy your weekend!

How very sweet---she can't be very old, and already knows where she's welcome and safe.
Animals and little children have a way of telling who has the Kind Heart, and you've obviously passed the test.
Happy Pink Saturday!

That is unusual seeing a little fawn come that close to a house. My great grandson would love that happen at his house.
Happy Pink Saturday -I'm touring by those links that end in "8". Glad yours is on the list - hey neighbor - Central Texas for me too. Now I'm wondering where on the Guadlupe it is that you live. It'll keep me busy wondering. Enjoyed your post, a neat twist on pink. Aren't the fawns wonderful - and such a blessing to be able to watch? So neat to be next to nature. It's all around, just not as "wild" and not always seen. Enjoyed your commentary and photos! Thanks, Jenn
Happy Pink Saturday, LaVerne. Thank you for all you do to make Pink Saturday special. It wouldn't be the same without you.♥
I've missed you, and I hope things are getting better for you and your family.
All I can say about this sweet fawn is Ah!!!! Oh my goodness, how adorable. Thank you for sharing.
