A date in the center...July 8, 1916...maybe a Wedding? This could have been one of those friendship type gifts that people got together and made for a bride...just like projects that the Valley Girls and I start...key word is START...I have all sorts of projects in similar stages...but mine are accompanied by ALL the materials needed to complete the item along with the full instructions and fabric for two or three more...that's why we're having such a huge JunQue sale.

Valley Girls Junque with a Q Sale
The Valley Girls Junque Sale plans are gearing up and I'm starting to select treasures to send to new homes. I bought this very vintage set of Shell Pink Ware in San Antonio a few years ago...don't know how old it is, but it has tiny little butter pat plates...yes, butter pat plates! It is such a sweet set and I just know it will find a new home with someone lovely...in addition to the serving bowls, there are three different size individual bowls in this luncheon set...a little berry bowl, a cereal bowl and a salad size bowl...certainly from a bygone era! I'm not even sure of the names of that many different bowls...when was the last time you saw a butter pat plate (if ever)?
We have lots of pretty things and tons of shabby chic items and some really rustic one-of-a-kind treasures...you name it and one of us has probably has a collection of it!
The sale will be the perfect setting for a reunion of Valley Girls and our Central Texas friends...

Valentine...Seeing RED
February may be dead and brown outside, but Valentine's Day brings the inside to life with red and pink everywhere...I had a meeting scheduled at my house last Monday, so it was fun to put out a few seasonal items...just wish I had taken a picture of the serving table...my co-hostess, Bernice, made the most amazing chocolate cake covered with fresh fruit on top...from scratch no less...probably the most beautiful homemade cake I have ever seen...
